How to kill a mouse in my kitchen pantry?
This little mouse is making fun of me. No kidding. I have a large pantry. Each I open it, this little mouse would jump from the upper shelves and hide. I have placed cheese on the mechanical mouse trap and the cheese would be gone. I have placed glue-mouse trap and nothing. Would the poison pellets work? But I do not want it to die in my home. What are my options? Thanks
We had this problem last spring in our old farmhouse. We tried it all, much like yourself, and learned a hard lesson. Cheese would disappear, large traps for a small mouse would only catch em by the tail or limb. So we opted for poison pellets. It was a bad, no, very bad idea. It killed some of the mice, we knew cause we could smell their carcasses. We could not however, locate their bodies. It was an awful wait as the days grew hotter and the mice got smellier. After a few months it went away completely. Avoid poison at all costs, who knows where that mouse will want to stash itself when it realizes it’s going to die. Since the “incident” we have only had one mouse that we efficiently caught, we put peanut butter on the mouse trap. Since it has to lick the peanut butter the trap will effectively snap it’s neck. Problem solved. Good luck!
